Tell Me The Story.... In August of 2004, The POINT began as a vision that God placed on the heart of Randy Thomas. God brought together a group of students that were passionate about reaching the college community in Athens for Jesus Christ. What started as just a handful of students, grew to 250 students coming together to worship God and learn more about His plan for their lives.  The first year of The POINT was one never to be forgotten. We experienced God moving in an incredible way. Many students gave their lives to Christ, some committed to use their life in full-time ministry, and many more committed to living a life dedicated to the purposes of God. In the first year, the POINT met every other week as we grew together. We believe that God has called us to meet on a weekly basis now, and reach out into the city of Athens in a greater way. Believe. At The POINT, we believe that everyone matters to God! We believe that God has a purpose and a plan for everyone of our lives, and that it is our responsibility to find out what that plan is and follow Him in that plan. We believe that God has called us to show His love in the Athens community, and to provide a place for college students and young singles to come together for an intimate encounter with the God of the universe.
